Levels of Care
Age in Place
We adjust care plans as medical needs change to provide the best opportunity to stay with us and without having to change rooms.
Age Together
Couples with different needs can live together and receive individualized levels of care, all under one roof.

Standard of care
We only hire people that have a passion for caring for others. We are dedicated to providing a safe, and meaningful environment where your loved one will always feel like the staff that is taking care of them are extended members of their own family. Our highly-trained staff provides individualized care plans that balance physical well-being, safety and overall health while encouraging the ability to maintain one’s independence.
Licensed nursing professionals on-site, at all times. Many other facilities will only have nurses on call. We keep a certified nursing professional on-site 24/7 to ensure that should a medical need arise, we are able to address it at any hour of the day or night.
Routines are a staple of a healthy life, and we want to make sure that our residents can continue the ones that they had prior to moving in with us. Which is why residents can choose to keep their personal physician, if they so please.
We offer services like a mobile podiatrist and more to make our residents’ lives as convenient as possible.
Expert oversight on individual care plan development from a quality assurance team that includes a management team with nursing backgrounds, Case Manager and Corporate Quality Assurance Nurse.
Medical Partnership
By our Medical Directors, Nurse Practitioner Amy Olsen, and Dr. Deaver Stattuck.
Amy received her nurse practitioner in 2016, and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Amy has 6 years nursing experience from working in urban hospitals in Knoxville, TN and Louisville, KY. She has gained experience in a variety of environments including the ER, rehabilitation units, psychiatric and ICU units, among others. Since her first position as an RN, Amy discovered her favorite patient population is the elderly. “In the process of attending to their health care needs, they share their rich life experiences and knowledge with me.”
Deaver Shattuck is a charter member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, he was the original hospitalist at Blount Memorial Hospital where he still practices. He founded and is medical director of Blount Hospitalists. He has served at BMH as chief of staff and spearheaded the following quality initiatives: he championed the hospital’s EMR implementation, established the sepsis team, and led the effort for the hospital to become a primary stroke center. He continues to serve as medical director for the stroke program.
With the business success of Blount Hospitalists, Dr. Shattuck knew he wanted to do more – more to serve patients in need, specifically the senior population. He partnered with his friend Dr. Teresa Catron and co-founded what has grown to be the largest private geriatric group in Tennessee, Blount Senior Care Partners (BSCP).
At Northshore Heights, our residents have the opportunity to keep their current physician, but if they wish to switch to our medical directors, they will gain the added benefit of Telemedicine which includes:
• Access to a doctor without leaving the comforts of our community
• Reduction of unnecessary emergency room visits
• Immediate treatment decisions on site
